Homeschool?
I am thinking very serious about taking my children out of public school and homeschool them. I don’t know much about homeschooling. Our public schools are (in good words) the pits, and I want a better atmosphere and education for my children. Where can I get some good info.
Here are a couple of sights that have been helpful to me.
Good luck
The fist thing you want to do is find out the laws in your state, follow this link and select your state:

Next you might be interested in seeing how successful homeschoolers have been:

Homeschooling is a wonderful choice for many families, (including mine), if you think it might be a good choice for your family I encourage you to give it a try.
I suggest reading up different methods, but don’t feel like you have to pick just one, its fine to blend together the ideas you like from several methods, and toss the ideas you don’t like. You might want to start by reading up on the Charlotte Mason approach, and then also look for books by Ruth Beechick, read up on the Unit Study approach, and the classical approach, then decide how you want to start.

Homeschooling can be a great help. A good home school group is BJU.
This website has a lot of good information about homeschooling:

Please also be aware that “curly” gave you links about UNschooling, which is a type of homeschooling but is not the only option.
If cost is a concern go to http://www.k12.com and check if your state has a cyber charter school.
I love to unschool!
