What is your typical homeschool day like, do you follow a typical school schedule, and what state do you live in?`
I began teaching my little guys, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade last year, mid year, and we are having a blast. It just amazes me how different everyone is. I think I can learn from just about everyone. With my guys I leave their work on a white board the night before and they begin some of what they don’t need me for, like penmanship and practicing spelling, before I even get up. They know the sooner that whiteboard is clearned, the sooner we get to do fun stuff…and we do belong to co-op’s, and do gym at the YMCA….they have plenty of interaction with other kids, only I can control who those kids are while they are younger.

I heard something about an attempt to do the latter… my 4 year old keeps getting sick from preschool, and I had decided to homeschool next year anyway. Id just like a few homeschool programs to look into, or any other info you can offer me! And please no judgemental comments!

i have considered homeschooling for a long time. But now my closet friend has decided to homeschool. I would like to know of a affordable online homeschool that is perfect to get a good education without your parents help. Help please????
I also am working towards a goal of graduating early. At least when i am 16.

DOES anyone know if theres anyt magazines for children or just educational home mailings? I homeschool a child

I was wondering if someone wanted to homeschool, but had to work, could someone else do it? Would it have to be a certified teacher or could it be someone who is also homeschooling their own kids?

She’s not even a year old yet, but I would like to get all my ducks in a row now. I was homeschooled for high school and I loved it! I plan on enrolling her in the same homeschool program that I was in (Clonlara). What other things can I do now to prepare for the future?
I am not asking for opinions on whether or not I SHOULD homeschool her, I’m asking for some good ideas to start with. Sitting in a small room with 35 other children for 7 hours a day staring blankly into space and day dreaming does not constitute good socialization. Being involved in playgroups, sports and community activities while getting one-on-one attention sounds a lot better to me!

I scrapbook our yearbook for our homeschool and I am running out of ideas and want to find something ready-made where I can just print, crop, and insert the pictures.

I am a junior in hgh school in Texas and I would like to be homeschooled or do online high school but since i cant find any online school that would work i wanted to know my chances of college if i do homeschool. Also, I would like to know as much as possible about what its like to be homeschooled and/or how you did it, if it was easy, and how you likd it.

I like to make education a 24/7 experience, but for more formal and writing work, I tend to do about 2-3 hours a day, Mon-Thurs, with Friday being more of a reading day. My son is 10 next month.

I was wondering how many hours a day others homeschool and for what age?
